The Uganda National NGO Forum (UNNGOF) is a National Platform for NGOs in Uganda whose mission is to provide a sharing and reflection platform for NGOs to influence governance and development processes in Uganda and enhance their operating environment.

UNNGOF envisions an NGO sector that is coherent, respected and well-informed in Uganda, actively contributing to citizens’ well-being and safeguarding their rights.

The 22nd General Assembly

Notice is hereby given to all General Assembly Members of the Uganda National NGO Forum (UNNGOF) that the 22nd General Assembly is scheduled for Thursday 18th April 2024, starting at exactly 9:00am and ending at 1:00pm.

The General Assembly will be conducted in a hybrid format with physical presence limited to only fully paid-up members at Hotel Africana, Kampala and virtually using an appropriate platform in accordance with provisions of the UNNGOF Constitution as amended at the 19th General Assembly on 29th July 2021. The Agenda for the General Assembly is as follows:

a) Adoption of the Agenda

b) Opening Prayer and Anthems

c) Introduction of Members

d) Communication from the Chairperson

e) Review of Minutes of the 21st General Assembly and Action Matrix

f) Presentation and Discussion of Chairperson’s Report and Annual Report 2023

g) Presentation and Discussion of Treasurer’s Report and Audit Report 2023

h) Elections and Endorsement of New Members of the Board

i) Closing Prayer and Anthems

Please note that the constituencies of National NGOs and District NGO Networks will each vote for their Board Representatives. The Assembly will also endorse the nominee for Independent Member and thereafter conduct elections for the positions of Chairperson, Vice Chairperson and Treasurer.

All members that are eligible and interested in election to the constituency positions mentioned above, should submit their applications in accordance with the guidelines available on the UNNGOF website www.ngoforum.or.ug. All applications should be sent to elections@ngoforum.or.ug by close of business Friday 5th April 2024.
