NGO Forum draws its finances from both internal and external sources. However, over 90% of its funding is generated from external sources, mainly donors.

It also benefits from funding from its more resourced members especially international NGOs with which the Uganda National NGO Forum frequently implements joint programmes.

Internally, Uganda National NGO Forum counts on membership fees/dues. While the intention is to have locally generated resources cover at least 15% of its annual budget, at present membership fees account for a little less that 5%.

Occasionally gets administrative support overheads from agencies that seek to partner with it on various activities or hosted programmes.
