Published By UNNGOF |  September 23, 2014

The 21st Edition of the Black Monday Newsletter focusing on how corruption is negatively impacting on access to justice is here by presented. This edition profiles a snap shot of the research undertaken by Anti-Corruption Coalition Uganda– “Temples of Injustice” that revealed corruption trends and shocking malpractices within the Judiciary that undermine access to justice.

This newsletter also expounds on the issue of the Marriage and Divorce Bill and how corruption undermined the process of ensuring that such an important law is passed.

An interesting article on “activism is not crime” draws in a reflection as to how anti-corruption activists play a great role and the legal response efforts in place to support each other in this struggle.
