Tribute to Ms. Ritah Nansereko
On June 25th 2021, Uganda’s Civil Society sector lost a passionate and intelligent leader, Ms Ritah Nansereko.
A proficient Human Rights advocate, Ritah served as the Executive Director of African Women and Youth Action for Development (AWYAD), our member organisation. She was also Co-chair for Charter4Change and a member of the Steering Committee for the Humanitarian Platform for Local and National Humanitarian Actors in Uganda that is hosted by the Uganda National NGO Forum.
Ritah was a strong policy advocate in the Humanitarian Sector who championed the rights of refugees.
Ritah was a #RealLifeHero and an inspiration for us all. Her powerful legacy will continue to inspire many others.
Rest in Peace, Ritah. We will remember your generosity and great sense of humour.
