Vaccines for All: Join the Campaign to Push for Access to the COVID-19 Vaccine

Published By UNNGOF |  August 6, 2021

Less than 2% of Africans are fully vaccinated to date, while 30 EU citizens are vaccinated every second.

In June 2021, the People’s Vaccine Alliance revealed that it would take years to fully vaccinate the populations of low-income countries at the current rate.

We at the Uganda National NGO Forum (UNNGOF) wish to convey our dismay at EU leaders’ refusal to countenance sharing vaccine knowledge and capacity with potential vaccine-producing countries around the world, especially in Africa.

Despite overwhelming and growing calls to action, EU and UK  leaders continue to not move on this issue and thereby put all our lives at risk. It has been proven time and again that this is the only and best way to ensure the whole world is safe from the COVID-19 pandemic.

We did not want to duplicate other campaigns and have coordinated with the People’s Vaccine.

Join us in calling for EU and UK leaders to overcome vaccine hegemony, support manufacturing capacity in other countries and support vaccine delivery in-country. We need to act now and ensure #Vaccines4All.
