UNNGOF Statement on Kampala Terror Attacks

The Uganda National NGO Forum (UNNGOF) and other civil society organizations in Uganda strongly condemn yesterday’s terrorist attacks in Kampala.
We extend our deepest condolences to the bereaved families and wish a quick recovery to those injured.
We thank the Uganda Red Cross Society for their quick response.
We also thank the Uganda Police Force and its sister security agencies for their continued pursuit of the perpetrators.
We hope that the perpetrators of these heinous acts will be apprehended and held accountable in a transparent manner.
To fellow citizens; we are the first line of defense. We, therefore, encourage each one of us to remain vigilant and report any suspicious activity to the responsible agencies.
