The Uganda National NGO Forum (UNNGOF) is pleased to invite applications from its member and partner organizations to participate in a fully funded 5-day Local Fundraising Course aimed at strengthening the fundraising capacity of civil society organizations (CSOs) in Uganda.

Background

Many civil society organisations in the global south including Uganda, heavily depend on foreign funding to sustain their operations. This dependency makes them vulnerable to external shifts as seen in the recent US Government to suspend the operations of the United States Agency for International Development (USAID) which has forced several organisations to halt their activities.

In response to this challenge, UNNGOF under its Philanthropy for Development program would like to promote financial sustainability by equipping its members and partners with the skills, knowledge, and mindset necessary to mobilize local resources and reduce reliance on external donors. This approach is routed in the bold need to influence how development is done by building a strong culture of giving that expresses the aspirations of the citizenry and increased domestic giving in communities.
