Juliet Akello
Juliet Akello has over 12 years’ experience and expertise in Public Policy Analysis; and Economic Research and Management. As a Civil Society actor, she has experience in Gender Responsive Budgeting and is involved in advocating for Public Finance Management in Uganda for effective service delivery, transparency and accountability. Juliet is also a Social Accountability expert with experience in community empowerment, networking and strategic engagements for policy change. Her public policy research and analysis, and advocacy efforts have informed economic policy formulation and engagement at both national and sub national levels.
Juliet worked as an Economist and Budget Policy Specialist at the Civil Society Budget Advocacy Group (CSBAG) and has also worked as the Policy Officer, heading the Policy and Economic Research sub-component while at the Uganda Debt Network (UDN). She holds a Master of Arts in Economic Policy Management, a Bachelor of Arts in Education and a Certificate in Administrative Officers’ Law Course, all from Makerere University.
