From the 19th -21st January 2016, The Uganda National NGO Forum, together with Uwezo Uganda and A-C-O-R-D Arua organized a training of volunteers for the Aga Khan Foundation (AKF) Learning Assessment at Ediofe Youth Center. The 20 trained volunteers were selected from 10 villages (Idioa, Egara B, Academy, Ayiforo, Mvara Central, Anori, Adovu, Oli D, Adravu and Ayelembe) in which the assessment would be conducted.  Attended by over 20 participants, the training aimed at equipping volunteers with the necessary skills and knowledge to conduct the AKF assessment.

The 2 day training focused on enabling the volunteers to understand the justification for the AKF assessment, familiarize themselves with the assessment tool, and understand the ethical values during assessment. The training also provided an opportunity for trainers to interface with the community through a pre-test. Out of the 20 trained volunteers, 14 have previously carried out learning assessments with Uwezo which provides a leverage we can count on in terms of  an experienced team that will produce quality results. The assessment will run from 21st -24th January 2015.
